Before my first post pops up tomorrow morning, I thought I’d explain why I decided to start this blog.  It’s simple, really.  I want to give everyone a look at cooking from the actual meal’s perspective.  What I mean is that often times when I watch cooking shows, I see the chef and not the food.

A few years ago I commented to my MIL (as I was playing with my new video camera while she was cooking dinner) that this was the way it should be, the camera zoomed in on the pans and the hands that are doing the cooking so you can really see what is happening and what you should do to make the meal.

Well, this idea has now been cooking up (ha, get it?) in my head ever since then.  I don’t plan on posting everyday; after all, I do cook meals more than once for my husband and I.  I do, however, plan on showing you the ways that I cook in an up close and personal way.

This blog will be dedicated to cooking and only cooking.  If you want the personal stuff you can go over here and over here.  It is going to be a lot of fun!

I will eventually delve into the video blogging, but I want to get more comfortable and in the rhythm with this blog before I delve into that realm.
