About
In a nutshell? I am a thirty-something Orthodox Christian married San Diegan preschool teacher…but it is so much more complicated than that, right? We all are! We can all sum ourselves up into one sentence; but the truth is there is so much more.
I love to cook! I don’t know all the science behind it, but I’m learning. I just know that I love to cook! It really is that simple! I work 8 plus hours a day, travel one hour each way to and from work, then come home and cook elaborate meals for my husband because I can. On Saturdays and Sundays I spend my time preparing for the week: breads, cookies, snacks, etc…
I have the best husband in the world (The Husband) who supports me in all my adventures with a twinkle in his eye…yes, sometimes there’s a smirk behind that trinkle, but he supports me anyway. Whether it be in trying crazy foods, growing a garden, losing 70 plus pounds (with more to go), or any other great adventure I plan. He really is great!
I was born and raised in San Diego, moved to the Inland Valley area of Los Angeles for college, and moved back afterwards. I can’t imagine living anywhere else; but then, who knows where life will lead us!
So, in a nutshell, who are you?
I really love your website! I find myself clicking on a lot of your recipes on keyingredient and saving them. I really like the new look of your blog, too. 🙂
Kudos to you and your husband for losing 70+ pounds! Will be coming back to check for more recipes.

Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you are enjoying it.
In response to your comments you made in 2010 about the home made Miracle Whip and that it is the same as the boughten: I disagree. I believe we can make our foods healthier than the store boughten varieties because we don’t purposely use the foods heavily laden with glyphosate or GMO. Continue to create healthy foods! ;o]
